knowledge base: integrating a process library (adding many internally-focused articles to an externally-focused application)

Has anyone integrated articles into TDX where only people behind the curtain can see them? We have a couple - things that customers can't do for themselves due to such things as needing local admin rights. Now we are thinking about broadening this out to include articles on various processes (a process library) - steps to stand up a server, steps to install lab software, steps to close up the building, etc. The amount of articles will drastically increase which means that our tier 1 (student staff) may have difficulty weeding through search results to find answers. So, we are determining if using TDX in this way is beneficial. If it is, we would like to determine the best way to do this. Can anyone who has done this come back at me with pros/cons or your story?

[I wanted to post this question in the client-to-client questions category but I and others don't seem to get much/any response there.]

Hello Greg,

You could consider creating a Client Portal app dedicated to just these sort of processes, then only give access to that app to the folks who need it, and don't mark its KB or Service Catalog (if using services) as publicly visible and make sure all articles/content are not listed as public.
