How to Access a Client Portal Application as an Application Administrator

This how-to article will help application administrators of a client portal application gain access to TDAdmin when they are not administrators of the entire environment. The user must have Application Administrator permissions in TDAdmin, which can be configured by a global administrator. 

Overview

Many organizations use TeamDynamix for enterprise service management, enterprise project management, enterprise asset management, or enterprise knowledge management. This typically results in a small group of people having global administrator access, or administrator access to the whole tool, and then each respective group using TeamDynamix to have application administrator permissions in their own ticketing application, asset application, or client portal application. This article details how to access the administrator interface of the client portal application if you are not a global admin.

Accessing the Admin Interface of a Client Portal Application

  1. Navigate to the Client Portal for which you are an application administrator.
  2. Ensure that you are signed in.
  3. Select Your Name in the upper right corner of the page. 
  4. From the dropdown menu, select Admin.
  5. You are now in the TDAdmin interface for your client portal application.
