Calendar Application and Tickets Calendar and Ticket Searches Not Showing up in Feeds

Hi there,

I'm losing my marbles over this one. I've looked everywhere I can think of and so I need your help in thinking of where I didn't look :-)

  1. Calendar Application
    1. Based on this Working with the TeamDynamix Calendar KBA, "The user must have access to the Calendar application in TDNext", which to me implies that they have to have the appropriate permission in a Security Role that they are assigned to. However, I cannot find the appropriate security option to check - nothing seems to be about calendars except for the "Show time off entries for other people" option under Calendar in the Site Security Roles. I have not seen any mention of calendars in any other option under any other security role level (Site, Ticket App, or Client Portal App).
    2. What am I missing?
  2. Tickets Calendar
    1. This is elusive. I see it mentioned in the Working with Calendar Feeds KBA and in a few Questions, but heck if I can find it. I saw someone mention a report. I cannot find it under reports.
    2. What am I missing?
  3. Ticket Searches not showing up in Add Ticket Search Feed Ticket Search field
    1. I made a couple of simple ticket searches, making sure that they included the Due date field, and they showed up in the Ticket Search list, but when I made some more complicated ones (they have a bunch of fields in them) they do not show up - even though I made sure they have the Due Date field as well.
    2. What other criteria is there for making a ticket report show up in the Ticket Search list?

Cheers,

Damon

Hi Damon,

To answer your questions:

  1. Calendar Application
    1. The Calendar should be its own application in TDNext. You should be able to see it using the blue menu icon if you have TDNext access.
  2. Tickets Calendar
    1. The ticket calendar is located in the TDNext ticket application on the left hand menu, under "Standard Reports."
  3. Ticket Searches not showing up in Add Ticket Search Feed Ticket Search field
    1. I may need some more info on this one. If you open the ticket app in TDNext, you'll need to use the green filter button in the top right to filter a search, then click Apply. Once you do that, you'll click the "Save Search" button at the top. Then, when you back to the TDNext > Calendar application and click the 'Feeds" button, you can "+Add Personal Feed" > Ticket Search and create a feed via that search.

Hopefully this makes sense, but let me know if you have further questions.

Best,

Brittany Renn

Hi Brittany,

I figured out question 3. I was thinking reports and not searches. My bad.

For 1, it shows up for me, but not for my techs, I figured it was a setting in a security role at some level. Why wouldn't it show up for someone?

For 2, Thanks!!!!

Cheers,
Damon

Do they have access to the Projects application? I think it's looped in with that app. - Brittany Renn Fri 8/18/23 3:52 PM
Tested and confirmed.

All questions resolved. Thanks!
