HTML Editing Options - Predefined Code Blocks with Numbering and Formatting for Languages like SQL and JavaScript
We would like to add code into some KBAs so we can keep all of our documentation in one easy to find location and attach them to relevant requests/incidents to use as a reference point for assisting staff. To make this happen we are in the process of creating templates for our TDX Users to add within their KBA articles to make it easier to read code at later date/time when assisting with the incidents/requests.
Is there a way to allow us in the html to show language specific formatting and line numbering -
- Here is an example of how we would like to be able to use / see it -
- We know we can utilize a <pre><code> content here </code></pre>, but that doesn't retain the formatting that allows for ease of use when trying to read the following languages -
- language-markup – Use for HTML, XML, etc…
- language-css
- language-clike
- language-javascript
- language-java
- language-php
- language-scss
- language-bash
- language-python
- language-sql
- language-https
- language-csharp
- language-aspnet
- language-scala
- language-haskell
- language-objectivec
- language-latex
- language-git
What are we missing? Is there something in the admin settings that would allow for us to do this?

Hi Janine,
Currently, there is not a way within the Source code view to show language specific formatting and line numbering. I think this would make a good Product Idea, though. If you'd like to see this kind of feature considered in future versions, I would suggest submitting an Enhancement Request using the 'Submit a Product Idea' button on our Home Page.
