Available Modules

Who can use this feature?
  • Client Portal modules can be managed by Global Administrators and Client Portal Administrators in the Client Portal Admin interface.
  • Work Management modules can be managed by Global Administrators in TDAdmin.
  • Users with Work Management access can manage modules on their own dashboards.

Modules are the individual pieces of content that are added to Client Portal pages and applications and Work Management dashboards to provide information to end users and structure information in a manner that makes sense for your organization. TeamDynamix offers three main types of modules to enhance your portal and dashboard functionality and user experience.

In this article, we'll cover:

HTML Modules

HTML modules allow organizations to create customized content that can enhance both the functionality and visual appeal of the portal and dashboards. Content can include content blocks, button sets, images, iframes, and dynamic content. HTML modules can save time and ensure consistency by allowing a module to be used in multiple locations, with updates needing to be made only in one central place.

HTML Module Types

HTML modules are application-specific, meaning an HTML module can only be used in the application for which it was created. There are two primary types of HTML modules based on their intended use and location.

Client Portal HTML Modules

  • Can be used in Client Portal pages
  • Client Portal administrators can manage these from Client Portal > Admin > Modules & Pages > HTML Modules
  • Global Admins can manage these in TDAdmin > Dashboard Templates > HTML Modules

Dashboard HTML Modules can be used in dashboard templates for these designated applications:

  • Analysis
  • Assets/CIs
  • File Cabinet
  • My Work
  • News
  • Portfolio Planning
  • Portfolios
  • Projects
  • Resource Management
  • Work Management
  • Tickets
  • Time & Expenses

Global Admins can manage these from TDAdmin > Dashboard Templates > HTML Modules

RSS Modules

RSS Modules are dashboard and Client Portal modules that display the contents of pre-configured RSS feeds. An RSS feed enables users to access updates from other web resources (e.g., https://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml). Administrators can configure RSS modules to display on dashboards in Work Management (TDNext) and Client Portal pages.

  • Client Portal administrators can manage these from Client Portal > Admin > Modules & Pages > RSS Modules
  • Global Admins can manage these from TDAdmin > Dashboard Templates > RSS Modules

Available for:

  • Dashboards
  • Client Portals

Default Client Portal Modules

TeamDynamix comes with a set of default modules that provide information in the right-side column of the Services, Knowledge Base, and Questions pages of the Client Portal.

Note: While default modules can be enabled or disabled, they cannot be customized. For customizable content, use HTML Modules or RSS Modules instead.
