Question
- How do I create a change calendar or maintenance calendar in TDNext?
- Can I link to a change calendar or outage calendar?
Environment
- Creating the Change Calendar
- TDNext access
- Technician level access or higher to a ticketing application, with "Add Global Searches and Global Report Folders in Ticketing" permission granted
Answer
NOTE: Change Calendar links are created within TDNext and are owned by the individual who created them, and ownership cannot be changed, even in TDAdmin. If substantial changes are required and the owner of the report no longer has access to TDX, a new global calendar and link will need to be generated.
- In TDNext open the Ticketing Application the change tickets are tracked in
- Click the Ticket Calendar report in the Standard Reports section on the left hand navigation pane
- Click the Filter button in the toolbar above the calendar to adjust what displays on the change calendar and click +Apply
- Click the Save Search button in the toolbar
- Name the search
- Check the Global checkbox
- Click Save
- Click the Refresh button in the toolbar inside of the ticket application
- Click the My Searches button
- Click Edit My Searches
- Right-click on the name of the calendar you'd like to link to and copy the link
These links can be used as needed, for example to create buttons on a TDNext technician desktop. The saved search can be placed on a public desktop which can be embedded on a page in the client portal (see related articles).
