This how-to article will help Administrators to create and modify custom HTML Modules using the TDAdmin interface. The user must have the Administrator privileges in TDAdmin.
Overview
HTML modules allow organizations to create custom content that can be added to pages within their Client Portal application. Typical modules can include additional text and general information, button sets and links to other applications or pages. This can enhance the functionality and visual appeal of your Client Portal.
Creating and Modifying HTML Modules
A list of all HTML modules for your organization can be viewed in TDAdmin by navigating to Desktop Templates > HTML Modules. You can also create HTML modules inside a client portal application.
To create an HTML module:
- In TDAdmin, go to Desktop Templates > HTML Modules in the left navigation.
- Click the +New button in the HTML Modules Display window.
- Fill in the required and optional details as follows:
- Context – Defines whether the HTML module will be available in Client Portal vs. TDNext desktops, which in turn affects the available application.
- Application – Select an application from the dropdown.
- Name – Ensures that the module can be easily found when editing desktop content.
- Show Border – Whether or not a border should be displayed around the desktop module
- Show Name – Whether or not the name of the desktop module should be displayed
- Content – The content of the HTML Module. See the Related Articles section for tips on creating content in HTML modules.
- Click the Save button.
To edit an HTML module:
- In TDAdmin, go to Desktop Templates > HTML Modules in the left navigation.
- In the HTML Modules Display window, click the name link of the module you’d like to edit.
- In the Edit HTML Module Display window, edit the required and optional fields as desired.
- Click the Save button.
Deleting an HTML Module
If a module is no longer be in use it can be removed from the system.
To delete an HTML module:
- In TDAdmin, go to Desktop Templates > HTML Modules in the left navigation.
- In the HTML Modules Display window, click the Delete link next to the module you’d like to delete.
- Click the OK button in the confirmation popup.
