Message when approving an article revision

Hi there,

Every time I approve an article draft, the following pop-up message appears:

This article has been updated since the draft was created. Are you sure you want to make the draft the current revision?

I have tested this multiple times and have confirmed that the message appears even when the article has not been updated.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or perhaps why it is happening.

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi Mark,

Would you mind providing the link where I can submit the ticket? I just want to make sure I am submitting to the correct team/using correct link.

Thanks,

Lisa

Yes you can use this service here: https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1965/Portal/Requests/TicketRequests/NewForm?ID=sHluUOLnjiw_&RequestorType=ServiceOffering - Mark Sayers Thu 12/12/24 4:58 PM

Hi Mark,

I am now finding this issue is not happening every time I approve a draft, but did manage to recreate it this morning (and others are still reporting its happening for them). And there is definitely no one else updating the article - it is one my group owns and only I ever update. The steps taken are:

  1. In the Article Details, click on Pending Review under Draft Status section
  2. You are now in the Pending Review view of the article. Click on Approve this revision and the warning message pop ups.

You may have to try a few times for it to pop up for you :)

Thanks!

Lisa

I repeated these steps and I am not reproducing the error unfortunately. I think if this is something you'd deem an issue, I would recommend submitting a support ticket to our team so we can review it in more depth. - Mark Sayers Thu 12/12/24 12:31 PM

Hi Lisa,

I'm not able to reproduce this in my own KB. Are you able to provide a screen recording perhaps where you perform this action and show the error/warning message you're referring to?

Sincerely,
