Alerts for submitted time reports?

Hi there, I have a manager who has other managers underneath him. He would like a notification when the staff who are under this other manager submit their time reports for the week. He needs this info to assemble a weekly report so needs to know as soon as their weekly time report has been submitted.

Is there any way to set up this type of notification?

Do you know what method this person's team members are using to submit their timecards currently?

The reports are filled out at the end/beginning of the week in the Time & Expenses application, then they click "Submit Final" to submit them.
It's when they click "Submit Final" that they would like to get a notification, if possible. But they aren't the staff's direct manager, they are the staff's manager's manager, if that makes sense.

I'm not sure there is a way to make that action *directly* produce a notification to someone they do not directly report to.

They could possibly create an actual hours report in Analysis though that they could either put on a desktop or run manually (or configure to be delivered to their email each day) that includes the columns for Reports To, Person, and Hours (Sum).

Then filter the report by Submitted Date is greater than or equal to the run date minus 1 week (to get the last 7 day's worth of entries). And further it could be filtered down specifically to only users who report to that specific manager.
