Group Management in TDX
Our institution was just planning out groups in TDX, and we just were wondering what was best practice in regards to this. We want to limit access to some knowledge base articles based on the group (that is my understanding).
I found the article about group utility import: https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1965/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=141374 - would this be the best way to import them into TDX (and have iPaas or some other software create the CSV file)? Or is there another method that is better to do group management (all through iPaas for example)?
Thank you

The group import utility can be used similarly to the People import utility to allow you to specify which group(s) a person should be a member of, and you can schedule the submission of that import file so changes can be addressed on a consistent basis if needed.
Being that you don't have iPaaS, you could use the utility to automate your group membership changes. You'd just need to figure out how to determine (externally) which groups a person needs to get included in and which they do not need to be members of any longer.

Thanks for the help. We do actually have iPaas (we are just getting started on it too). One point I forgot to mention is that we were going to try to tie our Active Directory groups to the TDX groups (so if in X AD group, they would be in X TDX group). Would the utility still be the best option in that case?

So, basically we have two choices; first, we could do it all in iPaas for real-time; second, we could use the group utility to import them but that only takes place daily.
Just two last questions.
Are there any other options we are missing? I just want to make sure we are not missing any other method.
Is there a preferred method (I do not think we need real-time updates) that TDX recommends? I know on the people utility knowledge base article, it recommends using the utility; is the same true for the group utility then?
