'In Use" status not showing up

We have some assets that if we go to edit them, there is nothing in the status field (screenshot included) how would I search for these? I do not see a selection of "Blank" to sort by

Hello James,

Can you provide a specific asset ID and name for which you are attempting to select a status on and can't see any statuses?

Also, where are you going within TeamDynamix specifically to try and edit that status?

Are you saying you just want to filter a report on assets that have no value in the "Status" field? You might be able to filter by "Status - is not one of - [select all the statuses]". - Mark Sayers Mon 9/23/24 10:11 AM
i ran a report based on statues that are not one of, and found all of my assets that do not have a status. if I go to edit one of them, there is nothing there but I can select one of them which I need to do in order for these to show up on all of the reports. can I bulk edit assets from a reports? A report won't allow you to bulk edit, but an Asset search does allow you to bulk "update" assets, which you could use to set a status for those assets that have no value when you run your search and filter by the Status column to see those that have no value in that column. - Mark Sayers Mon 9/23/24 10:56 AM

You could Sort by the status column and I believe the assets where that field was empty would appear first in the list. - Mark Sayers Mon 9/23/24 11:35 AM

This is odd: the asset shows as having an In Use status, but if you go to the edit page it is blank. Also, in TDAdmin, searching by the In Use status classification does not cause this asset to appear. I think this means your assets are all going to show up as "In Use" in a search, but they do not truly have that value saved onto them.

Your example asset was created by Connor, do you happen to know *how* they created the asset in that state?

Can you submit a support ticket using this service here and we can send this to Engineering to see if they can determine how assets got created with no saved value for the Status field?
