Sandbox Access
Hi,
Is there a setting wherein a particular security role cannot create tickets in sandbox? If I made them client licences, would they still be able to view test tickets that I send through?

Hi Sheila,
In order for a user to be able to create tickets in Sandbox, they'd have to have a user type record in your sandbox environment, along with access to your SB Client Portal app, with a security role that allows them to view your Service Catalog *and* submit ticket requests.

Hi Brittany,
I want to prevent users from creating tickets in sandbox. I guess I can remove those permissions from each tech in each app. It doesn't seem to be available at the enterprise user record level. Also, I would have to do that each quarter after refresh, correct? - Sheila McBride Fri 8/9/24 10:31 AM

Yes, or just go through your client portal security roles and remove all of the permissions for each one (besides those who actually use and test in SB). And yes, it would have to be done after every refresh.

Hi Brittany,
On this one, is there anyway to completely block sandbox for a specified role? - Sheila McBride Wed 8/28/24 11:10 AM

You could deactivate the user record itself in Sandbox, but that would need to be done at the user level.

What if I changed the Technician role to have the Client license type. Then they would not see TDNext at all, right?

Yes, you could give them a client license and remove TDNext from their list of applications.
