Creating Custom Connector Post Actions

Hello.  I am creating a custom connector to a set of API endpoints that works with XML and not JSON.   I have successfully created GET actions with query strings, but am having difficulty creating a POST with a Request Body Data Type.   I have created the data type object, and followed the format in the TeamDynamix Ticket connector, but can't seem to get the request body set in the resulting action.

Can you provide guidance on how to successfully create a Post action, so the request body get's included in the API call?  Also, what are the request content types if the endpoint work with XML.

As a side note, this is a proof of concept effort and if we get this to work, we have a team of developers who are interested in working with IPaaS.  If it doesn't work, then they will move on to other tools.

Hi Tevis,

Our iPaaS team would be happy to help you with this. Can you refer your request to our Connector Concierge service here? https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1965/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=43699

With Matt's help in the Slack channel and quite a bit of trial and error, I was able to figure this out and make it work.

I suggest that more detailed reference documentation on working with custom connectors be created and that a "deep dive" connector training course be offered that covers all aspects of creating customer connectors.

While the connector operations are great, the underlying documentation and training are a real weak point.
