Forced approvals

I am looking for a method to not allow force approve/reject to management staff on specific type of ticket, Change. We have our change management built into ITS Tickets for ease of use, but have run across an issue where managers are clicking on the Approval step meant for the Change Review Board because they have the Force Approve possibility. I plan to test turning off the "The user will be able to always approve/reject/skip ticket workflow steps" in the security role, but this could cause issues if someone in the management chain is unavailable to approve and their direct supervisor wants to approve without need to contact the Admins. Has anyone seen this type of issue and have suggestions?

Hi David,

If the user has that permission for "The user will be able to always approve/reject/skip ticket workflow steps" then they will always be able to skip/force-approve a step. You'd have to turn that off for users with that role to not be able to do that.

There's no way to prevent someone who does have that permission from using it.

Sincerely,
