Assigning a ticket to the person that opened it?

I was wondering if there's a way using to use a web service call as a Workflow step to assign a ticket to the person that created it. I can see there's a way to update the responsible person, but I'm not sure how to update it to the person that created the ticket.

If this is possible, any suggestions on how to configure this? I set up the TD API (I think), just need to add the right web service method.

Hello Kay,

You can PATCH the ticket so that it uses the Requestor UID of the ticket to populate the value for ResponsibleUID. However if you are not familiar with using workflow web services you may need to request a consulting engagement to ask for assistance.

Has your organization purchased VAS hours that you can use towards an effort like this?
