Update Tasks Permissions

Hello, for the security role permission, "Update My Assigned Tasks Only Restricts a user from updating tasks to which they are not assigned. This permission is ignored if the user also has the "Update Tasks" permission."

Two questions.

Does this apply to ticket tasks?
Does this also apply to "Approvals" on a ticket?

Hi Tevis, 

That permission is specific to Project Tasks. The ticket app level permission that impacts users ability to update ticket tasks is "The user will be able to take primary responsibility for all unassigned tickets regardless of type." 

An Approval Step is a workflow step, that ability for Technicians would be impacted by the ticket app level permission: "The user will be able to always approve/reject/skip ticket workflow steps." If the ticket app user doesn't have that permission, they will only be able to approve steps they are responsible for.
