iPaaS Connector: Allowed Authentication Methods vs Authentication Method?

What's the difference between these?

Hi David,

According to the helptext for the Allowed Authentication Method Types field, those are "The list of all authentication method types supported by this connector and any other connectors derived from it. Consider limiting the list to the smallest number of types necessary to make configuration of this and any derived connectors easier. The authentication methods available to this and any derived connectors will automatically be filtered to include only methods of the types you select here."

Then any Authentication Methods configured for each auth method type will be available to choose as the auth method for a particular connector.

So ultimately it's a way to categorize your Auth Methods for your connectors by the kind of auth method type the connector will/can use. - Mark Sayers Wed 2/7/24 3:28 PM
