Advanced Response templates

Is there a way to add a dropdown menu in the Response Templates? We have a response template with choice for out techs to make and currently we have them spelt out. We do not want to use tasks for this

Hello James,

Response Templates are pre-written "stock" responses that you can include some tags in to auto-populate bits of ticket data into the response.

I'm not sure where a drop down menu would come into play with that feature. The Response Templates option on the ticket Update window is already a drop down menu to let you choose the correct category of response template and then a template to apply into the Update's comment box.
