Group Managers Unable Add Clients to Group

Hello.  We have a group that only contains client users for a specific unit, which allows us to restrict services to people in that unit.  While as an Administrator, I am able to add these client users to the group, the group manager is unable to add them to the group in the People application.

Is there a specific security role setting that allows group managers to add "clients" to groups, or can only an Admin do this?

Thanks, Tevis

Hi Tevis,

There is a security role setting in TDAdmin > Users & Roles > Security Roles for "Modify All Groups" & "Modify My Managed Groups" that determine whether or not a user is able to modify the membership of groups in TDNext.

Hope this helps!

That is what I thought and as the screen capture shows this person is unable to add Client users to the group through the People Application. Is there another setting somewhere that I am missing?

Thanks, Tevis

I don't believe so. Could you post a screenshot of the error being received or do no client users show up when trying to add any user to a group within the People Application? - Brittany Renn Fri 12/1/23 4:27 PM
It appears that we have to select the search tool, and select "both" or "non-employees" in the search, and then the client will show. Straight typing into the "Select People" field doesn't appear to look for "non employees" - Tevis Boulware Fri 12/1/23 4:42 PM
Yes, that is correct. The lookup page is defaulted to only return employees, so you'd need to change the filter to account for non-employees as well. - Brittany Renn Fri 12/1/23 4:46 PM
