Storing Customer Passwords Data From Forms

Hey folks,

I'm trying to support our desktop technician team with getting their customer-owned device intake process into TDX. The largest concern they have is that since they work on personally-owned devices, they frequently need to collect the customer's device password, and they would like that password to not be visible to anyone else in the application. Is there any feature in TDX that we could use to request things like passwords without making them available to non-authorized technicians?

Hi Colin,

Yes there are, it is called a Protected Custom Attribute. You can read about those here: https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1965/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=38738 and there is an associated article called "Working with Protected Custom Attributes" listed in the box to the right of that KB article too.
