Does TeamDynamix have a Supported URL navigation format?

I know other Vendors like CA Service Management and Service-Now support URL navigation for creating Incident or Request tickets to take customers to specific Forms.

  1. Does TeamDynamix have a Supported URL format to link to specific Incident or request forms if there are multiple forms?

Example:

We would like to navigate some customers directly to the Classroom Support and SMART Alerts (via URL) under the Incident instead of the generic Incident form, is this currently supported in TeamDynamix?

Hello Jonathan,

If you make use of the Service Catalog in your client portal, you can very much direct link to a service's "request" page by providing that link to users or using it on a button or something in an HTML module on your portal Home page or a custom portal page.

If the service being linked to requires authentication and/or group access to submit said request, the visitor will have to sign in first in order to successfully reach the form to fill out and submit it.

Let me know if that works.

Sincerely,

It looks like the way that was suggested requires a TeamDynamix administrators to create custom HTML modules. Currently I do not have administrator access and administrator access is not required to create a URL for creating Incident or Request tickets in CA Service Management or Service-Now. Is there a Non-administrator way of creating a URL to open a new Icident or request ticket? - Jonathan Kavanagh Wed 3/8/23 2:47 PM
You don't have to be an Administrator (of the client portal app in question) to create new Services in the service catalog of a client portal. But if you're going to create an HTML module to *link* to one of those services from a page other than it's service catalog location, you *do* at least need to be the app administrator of the client portal in question. Assuming that was or became true, you could access the portal's Admin interface by signing into the client portal directly, click on your name in the upper right, then select the Admin option on the menu that appears. - Mark Sayers Wed 3/8/23 3:39 PM
