Updating the Status of multiple tickets at once

Hi folks,

We're doing a clean up activity to move a large number of tickets from Resolved to Closed status.

Is there a way to change the status of a large number of tickets at once? Best way I can figure is to use TDNext > Ticketing App > Tickets > Actions > Update but that only allows me to update the Status of a maximum of 125 tickets at a time (the max number return rows/"Page Size" for each page). We have several thousand of these to update.

Thanks as always,

Erin

Hello Erin,

That page actually should allow you to change to another page of results, select all tickets, go to the next page, select all, etc until all needed tickets are selected. That *will* be the fastest way to bulk update multiple tickets, especially in the quantities you're referring to.

Hi Mark,

Thanks - this did work, although based on what I'm seeing I can only update 1000 tickets at a time or I get an error message. Better than doing them 125 at a time.

Cheers,
Erin

If it's a really high number of tickets you could submit a support ticket and we can ask if (whether for a fee or not) Technical Services could update these tickets, but they'd need to know the appID(s) and ticket ID(s) for every ticket that needs updating, and also the ID of the proper status to set them to. - Mark Sayers Thu 2/2/23 4:23 PM
