Ticket Task ID compared to Ticket ID

In our instance, Our first Ticket Task ID is in the 10000 range.  Our first ticket ID started at 1.

What I'd like to ask is the task ID and ticket ID aren't exclusive pools of numbers right? Eventually, after a few months, we'll have both a Ticket ID of 10100 and a Ticket Task ID of 10100.

I know its a little random, but we are looking to reference tickets and tasks in another system, and want to know if only the ID is enough or if we'll have to include the ticket or task indicator too.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill,

I did confirm that ticket IDs and Task IDs draw from separate database tables, so it could be possible potentially for a ticket and a task to hold the same ID value.

Hello Bill,

I'm confirming this for you, but I do not believe that Ticket IDs and Ticket Task IDs are derived from the same pool of numbers. I believe they are generated separately though.
