SSO > Deep link

Good afternoon all,

We are using SSO, when user's get directed to the SSO page after clicking a ticket link they are then directed to the TDNext Service Desk console.  They are then able to click the link and go to the ticket.  The issue we are seeing is that one they sign on via SSO, they should be directed to the ticket instead.  Obviously, if they are using a browser that is already logged in via the SSO it performs this, but if they are directed to a browser they are not logged into via SSO then they have to click 2+ times.

Any suggestions or area's you can point me.

Hello Brian,

If they have enabled pop-ups, or at least allowed them for TDX, after they sign in they *will* be directed to the TDNext Desktop, yes, but also a window should pop up to bring them to the item they were originally trying to navigate to.

Can you confirm that they *do* have pop-ups enabled for TeamDynamix or for the browser as a whole?

It was asked if enabling pop-ups the only option for this problem. - Bryan Weist Mon 4/4/22 4:55 PM
Currently, yes. We have no way (before initiating an attempt to access an item that resides behind authentication) to know that an active SSO session might exist for a user already. TDX must sign them in and will drop them on the home page of TDNext (if that is where the item they're trying to access "lives") and also will pop a window with the item in question in it. - Mark Sayers Mon 4/4/22 4:59 PM

That did resolve the issue.
