Anyone on the project create a card

I want to use Card Walls to manage project work with the Scrum framework.  I have the resources allocated to the project, I have the card walls created and I even have the lists on the card walls setup.

I want the project team to start building the backlog. They can see the card walls, but they cannot create cards (no green plus at the top of each list) and they cannot open any cards unless I put their name in the Responsible field on the card.

Is this by design?  I need them to be able to create cards. As work progresses, they may need to add another name on a card.

Hello Job,

It sounds like their security role is lacking permissions like "Add Tasks" and "Edit Tasks", which would allow them to do the actions you're referring to.

Can you go to TDAdmin > Users & Roles > Security Roles, and pull up the security role these users are assigned to and see if they have those permissions?

If they do not have them, give their security role those permissions, then the users will need to sign out of TDX (if they are currently signed in) and when they sign back in they should be able to create cards and edit them as needed without specifically being assigned to a card.

Sincerely,

Thanks for the reply Mark. I am a Project Manager but I am not an Administrator in TDx. I have a message in to our Administrator about this. To be clear, this is not a licensing issue, it is just a permission that needs to be granted, correct?

Would we be able to create a new Security Role that looks just like our basic role but has these extra permissions? My team is excited to start using the Card Wall functionality but not if they have to count on me to create and edit all of the cards. This was supposed to be about empowering the team to manage their work.

I believe it is a permissions issue, however I am not certain what license level the security role for these folks is configured to utilize.

Yes it is possible to create a new security role that has those permissions as long as the security role of the license allows those permissions to be granted.
