Create "Person" Records for new requestors

Hi Mark, this is a new one for me.  We have a service that allows non-TDX users to create tickets and are getting the "This message was proxied because the email address".  I see that you addressed this in the following question:

https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1965/Portal/Questions/Details/114832

You recommend, "You would want to allow your email systems to create "person" records for new requestors so they can at least have a record in the system for their email to correspond to"

Where do you set the email system to create a new Person Record?

Thanks, Tevis

Hello Tevis,

There are two places to configure that affect allowing new Customer records to be created when new persons (who don't have TDX person records yet) are encountered:

1. The Rules area of your ticket creation email monitor in TDAdmin. At the bottom of each rule is a setting to allow requestor creation if that rule matches.

2. Since you said you're accepting requests via a public service, the service's settings on the Form tab has an option at the bottom to "Match using Email Address. If no requestor is found, create a new requestor and associate that record to the new ticket." that you likely will want to be using. This will prevent those later responses via email from being proxied in. It also will ensure that, if you run a workflow on these tickets, the workflow can properly be automatically applied at creation.
