Create a project report with a gantt chart

I would like to create a project report that shows a gantt chart. I have put all my projects in one program and can create a report to show Name and Start and End dates. I want to have a visual representation of the data - similar to a Gantt chart.

Interesting, that is not how mine displayed. Can you take a screen shot of the actual chart's configuration on the report edit page and upload that so I can view it? - Mark Sayers Fri 1/7/22 1:37 PM
You seem to have selected a Bar chart. If you instead select the Gantt option, that will actually create an official Gantt type chart and it will ask you to select each of the 4 fields I mentioned for name, start/end, and percent complete. - Mark Sayers Fri 1/7/22 4:34 PM
OMG... I totally missed the Gantt chart option... I think I'm good to go now.
Thanks.

What I am looking for is for the top of the report to have just the project names, start date, end date and percent complete.

I want the Gantt chart below to show the project name on the left and the bottom axis to be the date scale. Right now it shows as the percentage complete.

Thanks for the assist.

It sounds like the gantt chart might not be configured correctly then, because I can create a report with just the following columns (Name, Start, End, and Percent Complete), and add a Gantt chart where the Name corresponds to the Name column, Start corresponds to the Start column, End corresponds to the End column, and Percent Complete corresponds to the Percent Complete column, and the resulting chart displays exactly as you described. - Mark Sayers Fri 1/7/22 11:42 AM

Hello Mark,

Do you have a report that you have attempted already? If so can you navigate to the Details page of that report and print it, then attach that file to this question so we can take a look and advise what changes you may need to make?

What info are you looking specifically to make sure is included in this Gantt chart?

Left side of Gantt chart name of project.
Bottom of Gantt chart will be the date range.
Show percent complete as part of the bar showing the progress.

My report shows the percent complete at the bottom - want this to be the timeline using start and finish.
