Report Sources: When to use the Analysis Application for Reporting

This article covers the different reporting sources in Work Management and notes which reports are only available in the Analysis application:

The Analysis application reports against all areas of Work Management. Things to consider when granting access to the Analysis application:
  • Users with Analysis access will be able to report all the applications they have access to.
  • Users with the "View All Application Instances in Analysis" global security role permission will also be able to report on data to applications they are not users of.
  • Users with Analysis access can also run Project and Project Request reports, even if they do not have access to the Projects or Portfolio Planning applications.

Report Sources Unique to the Analysis Application

The following report sources are all available within the Analysis application for your custom reporting needs. The items in bold are unique to the Analysis application and can only be found in the system within this application.

 Reports generated from sources that are unique to the Analysis application are only visible from Analysis or a homepage dashboard. The are not visible from another application or application dashboard.
