How can an application administrator update a user's security role?

Question

How can application administrator (without global admin permissions) change a user's security role within the application?

Environment

  • User is an application administrator of any type of application (Client Portal, Tickets, Assets). 
  • User navigates to the App Admin interface and chooses Users and Roles

Answer

An Application Administrator can not change a user's security role with an application. They also can not add or remove a user from the application. Changes to user application access and roles must be performed by a user with global admin permissions.

An Application Administrator CAN change the permissions of a specified security role.
