Applying Project Templates

Applying a Template to a New Project

  • When creating a New Project in the Projects application or when Convert to Project is selected in a Ticket Application, scroll to the Advanced section and expand if needed, then select a Project Template from the Project Template dropdown.
  • When Staff Request is chosen in the Portfolio Planning application, select the desired Project Template from the drop down menu on the Staff Request details screen.

This will apply all settings configured in the Project Template including:

  • Briefcase Folders and Files
  • Issues and Issue Categories
  • Links and Link Categories
  • Risks and Risk Categories
  • Plans - a copy of all plans in the template will be created in the new project

    • If you select, Briefcase, Links, Issues, or Risks, additional items or categories will be created but existing items and categories will not be changed or removed.
    • Multiple Project Templates may be applied to a single existing project.
