This article will help technicians install the TeamDynamix Mobile app and connect it to their TeamDynamix environment.
Overview
The TeamDynamix Mobile app allows technician users to connect to TeamDynamix from a mobile device. This article describes how to find, install and connect the TeamDynamix Mobile app.
Step 1: Installing TeamDynamix Mobile
The TeamDynamix Mobile app is available in the App Store and Google Play store. You can find the app using one of these methods:
- In TDNext, open the Downloads application and select TeamDynamix Mobile. Use the mobile device's camera to scan the Install the Mobile App QR Code or click on the App Store or Google Play store icons.
- In the App Store or Google Play Store, search "TeamDynamix".
- Click these links to go directly to the App Store and Google Play store.
Step 2: Registering the Mobile App
The TeamDynamix Mobile app must be registered to your instance of TeamDynamix in order to connect. Follow these steps to register your mobile app:
- Using your computer, sign in to TDNext in the environment you would like to connect to.
- Open the Downloads application and select TeamDynamix Mobile.
- Use the mobile device's camera to scan the Register the Mobile App QR Code. The Mobile App will open and automatically register to this TeamDynamix environment.
If you are generating instructions for users in your environment, you may want to share the link in the QR code with end users directly. You can copy the QR code image or use a QR code decoder to get the URL that it represents and share that URL with users. Users can also open the mobile app and paste the TeamDynamix Instance ID from the Downloads page into the TeamDynamix Instance ID field in the mobile app.
Production, Sandbox, and Release Preview environments each count as a different instances of TeamDynamix, with different Instance IDs and different QR codes. When setting up the app for the first time, be sure your are using the environment you want to connect to when registering. If you need to connect to an additional environment, follow these steps:
- Log out of the TeamDynamix Mobile app.
- On the mobile app sign in page, tap the Change button in the Instance ID and URL box.
- Follow the steps above to register a new instance of TeamDynamix or select a previously registered instance from the View previously used TDX Instances menu.
Step 3: Sign In to the Mobile App
Once you've registered to an instance of TeamDynamix, use the credentials you normally use for the TeamDynamix web application to sign in. If your organization uses Single Sign On, you will see the Single Sign On page, otherwise you will use the Username and Password field to provide your TeamDynamix credentials.
