Unless explicitly stated on the documentation for a method, the accepted Web API call content types are:

application/json

Calls using any other content type (ex: text/plain) are not supported.

Occurs when the value of a property that cannot be edited is modified. If you need to change this value, you should instead delete the time entry and add a new time entry.
