The Client Portal Questions feature transforms traditional support communication by creating a collaborative, community-driven environment where users can seek help and share knowledge with others. Rather than relying solely on direct email exchanges with support staff, this threaded discussion system enables both peer-to-peer assistance and official support responses, fostering a more efficient and comprehensive support ecosystem.

Question Notifications

The following people are notified when a new answer is posted to a question in the Client Portal:

  • The original author of the question
  • Anyone who contributed an answer to the question
  • Anyone who has opted to follow the question
  • The TeamDynamix support team

Ask a Question

  1. In the Client Portal, click Questions in the main navigation
  2. Click the +New Question button
  3. Choose a Category for your question
  4. Enter a brief description, or short version of your question in the Title field
  5. Enter details for your question in the editor
  6. Optionally select Tags to label your question for better searchability
  7. Add any Attachments that might help others understand your question
  8. By default, you are opted in to receive email notifications when there is any activity on the question. Uncheck the Follow box to opt out
  9. Click Save

You can quickly access all of your questions anytime under Questions > My Questions.

Answer a Question

Comment replies are threaded, so to continue a discussion, click the Comment link on a response.

To contribute an answer to a question, follow these steps:

  1. In the Client Portal, click Questions in the main navigation
  2. Click the question title in the list
  3. Click Contribute an Answer
  4. Fill in Your Answer
  5. Click Save

Upvote a Response

When an answer is submitted, you can indicate whether it was helpful. You don't need to be the question creator to provide input on its helpfulness.

  • To show that a response was helpful, click on one of the Was this helpful? options below each answer: Yes or No
  • If an answer accurately addresses the question, you can click Accept Answer
