Reminder Notification for Pending Workflow Tasks & Approvals

Hello, 

I'm working on a workflow, and we have a few approval and task steps that we'd ideally like to have the person responsible for the step be notified if they don't respond to or complete the approval/task by a certain time, similar to what can be done with SLAs on tickets. It looks like the complete within field on tasks helps to set a due date, but are there any reminders that can be send if a due date is missed? Is there any way to re-alert someone via an email notification that they have a pending approval step?

Hello Annie,

There is not an automated way to re-notify someone that they have a pending workflow task, at least not from the workflow or the ticket it has been applied to.

You *could* I suppose create a ticket task report that filters on tasks they, or a group they are in, are responsible for and where the due date is past the current date or is upcoming within a certain number of days/hours/weeks/years. Then you could set a delivery schedule for that report to deliver to each resource that normally works on these workflow tasks so they know when they have overdue tasks or tasks that are coming due soon.

Just keep in mind the report would *not* show Approval Steps though. Only Task steps show in the report results.
