Cancelled projects

Hello,

I've had a question today that I was hoping you could help with.  I tried looking through KBs but want to make sure.  I was asked if a project can be cancelled and reopened at a later date.  They want to make sure that the project keeps the same ID and all the information stays attached within the project.  They were unsure if a new ID and project needed to be created.

Thanks!

I believe it is more of just asking generally if a project can be cancelled and reopened in the exact same state.  We have a lot of documentation outside of TD referencing the project ID, we want to make sure we don't have to update.  Also that the project will retain the resource assignments, project plan, scorecards etc.

There is not a way for a non TDAdmin to reopen a project if it is Cancelled. It *can* be reopened by someone who has TDAdmin access, but I don't believe those options show up when you are accessing the project from anything other than TDAdmin after it is cancelled. - Mark Sayers Thu 8/15/24 11:20 AM

Hello Danee,

Are they asking in the context of "Can the person who was marked as the PM of the project see and reopen that project at some point if it gets Cancelled for now"?

Sincerely,
