Cannot see workspace feed

In the Project /Workspaces module there are the following tabs in the Workspace Details screen: Details, Members, Workflows, Time type, Ticket Types. In the Admin module there are the following tabs in the Workspace Details screen: Details. Members, Recycle Bin, Feed, Time type, Ticket Types. Why are these different? I can find any setting in Project /Workspaces or Admin that will show the feed in the normal Project /Workspaces view. We need for non-admins to see the feed and to have comment functionality. Please see attached screen prints.

Hi Larry,

The Admin page for Workspaces doesn't have the left hand navigation pane that the Projects/Workspaces application does. So, it has to display the Feed in a tab on the window that opens when you select your Workspace.

In the Projects/Workspaces app, the left hand navigation pane has a Feed option there.on the left-hand menu. Please let me know if your non-admins are not seeing that Feed option in Projects/Workspaces.

I appreciate your help. This answers all of the questions that I had. In the future I may submit an workspace enhancement request since I would like to use workspaces instead of the year log bucket projects that we now use.

  5. Time does have to be entered for a workspace from either Time & Expenses or from My Work > My Time Card. Comments do get added to the time entries themselves, but you'll not see them on the Workspace, yes. If they also want to note what their time was in a publicly visible place, they'd need to use the Feed on the Workspace.

Hi Mark,

Since this is our first real use of a workspace I need  to make sure that I understand all that's involved regarding the feed, updates and time reporting. In response to the information you provided, the Feed option in the left navigation pane does display the feed and our non-admins can see the feed.

Please let me know if I'm correct regarding these workspace items.

1. The feed appears to be the same as the project feed, i.e., it only displays the updates to the workspace proper.

2. I cannot see the time entered against the workspace within the workspace.

3. Time cannot be entered within the workspace. Time must be entered via the time card.

4. Time entry comments (entered via the time card) do not display in the workspace.

5. If items 3 and 4 are true, then we have to enter work time using the time card and enter work time comments using the comment function in the workspace feed.
