TDAdmin now pops out in separate window?

I noticed that as of last week (maybe 2 weeks ago), TDAdmin now pops out to its own browser tab, and it's not possible to keep it as its own tab within the TDNext tabbed interface. 

Did I miss something: was this a recent stealth roll out or was this part of the 9.5 upgrade?

I can't speak to the reasoning behind it, but I do know it was a change made along with the 9.4 release. You can view the response from Adam Torres at that time to another client who asked about this change: https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/Forums/Questions/Details?ID=106715

I do see you have submitted the ticket to request it be moved back. At this point I think that's the most that can immediately be done from your part and from a Support perspective.

Product Management will review the request and determine its potential placement in future releases or updates.

Hi Mark,

Thanks. I looked through the Release Notes for both 9.4 and 9.4.1 and didn't see mention of this functionality change anywhere. It feels disruptive when a feature that you have been using mysteriously stops working even though you've been using it that way for years.

Hi Peter,

This started happening with either 9.4 or 9.4.1 actually, and is by design. It is an initial step in eventually migrating to having most if not all applications begin opening in their own tab.

If you've closed Admin as a TDNext tabbed item, there will not be a way to move it back into that interface going forward.

Should you feel this is a disruptive feature you can definitely address it via a product idea ticket which can be submitted from our Client Portal Home page. Just use the "Submit a Product Idea" button to send that in. We welcome all feedback from our clients.
