Thank you, this led me down the right path. One missing piece was knowing how to add Time Types to a project request. I found that answer here: https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/Forums/Questions/Details?ID=106937
To clarify the process of how to enable people to track time on project requests:
- In Portfolio Planning, open the project requests.
- In the LH column, scroll down to the new "Resources" section (don't confuse this with Role Forecasts, this is where I got hung up)
- Add myself as a Resource and save.
Once I did that, I was able to see the project in "My Time Card".
FYI, until you add Time Types (see the link above), Time Type will be blank, and you won't be able to add time completely.
So it's a combination process: first enable "Time Types" and "Resources" on all project requests (see the link above), then you can use the "Resources" section to track time.
Having a KB article about this would be good.
