Need to identify user's who have customized their desktops

I'm rolling out a revised custom default desktop to our client users so I need to be able to tell which of our clients have customized their default desktop already because when I roll this out they will not get the new revisions. I'm going to have to edit each of their profiles to give them the new desktop and as of yesterday we had over 800 active users so the effort to do this manually is prohibitive. 

I noticed that when I customize my desktop it doesn't update the date stamp on the desktop so I can't tell who has edited their desktop and who hasn't. Is there a way that you can provide me with a list that I can use?

Hi Kimberly,

We currently do not have any tracking methods in place to determine whether a desktop or default desktop has been edited. Also, since a mass desktop granting/removing option is not currently an option, it is going to be tedious most likely to accomplish this task. The best suggestion we could come up with in reviewing your question is, if the users in question all belong to the same group, opening that group from your admin page, select a user, go to desktops, remove the old one, and add it back (after the desktop revision has been made and saved). You could then just use the browser's "back" button to navigate back out to your group list and continue with the next user. Granted, that is going to be time consuming, but at this point there is not a way to grant desktops to, or remove them from, more than one person at a time.

Actually this enhancement was entered by one of our other clients prior to the posting of this original question thread. I can add you as an additional requestor on the ticket and notify you so updates will be copied to you. Does that sound agreeable?

Was this ever entered as an enhancement request?  We're starting to use desktops now and have noticed the same problem in the lack of not being able to assign desktops to an entire group of users in one action.

Hello John,

It does not appear that the ticket which contains the original request for this feature has been implemented at this time, no. You can submit an additional enhancement request to lend your "voice" to the feature though, for sure. Go ahead and navigate to our Client Portal Home page and click the Submit a Product Idea service button to send that in for Product Management to group up. Reference the ID of the existing ticket which is ticket ID 1022450.

I am also curious if this enhancement request was ever fulfilled?  I'm exploring methods for determining what user's default desktops are (With API or otherwise) and could see the usefulness of this also.
