adjusting erroneous time entry

I recently received a message from one of our end users stating that they needed to adjust an erroneous time entry that was made against a specific ticket. I dug around in TD as an admin to see if there was a way to do it, and I couldn't come up with a way (other than making the adjustment at the database level, which I'd rather not have to do). One of our Project Managers pointed out that it could be done via MyWork -> My Time Card. That seems all well and good, but what if the individual that made the time entry error is out on vacation, or no longer works here? Couldn't there just be a permission added that would allow certain individuals to modify time entry errors? Am I missing something?

Hi Chad,

We have gone ahead and put this into the enhancement request queue. If you have any further questions please let us know.

Can this be put in as an enhancement request then? If there's a method in place for people to enter and track time, it would seem somewhat intuitive that the time could be modified via permission by another individual.

Just double checking, this applies to tickets also, correct?

Thanks.

Yes that is correct. No person can edit *any* time entries for any other person. An Admin can approve/reject them, but not edit. - Mark Sayers Tue 8/4/20 9:10 AM

Hi Chad,

At this time, there is not currently an option for admins to edit a time entry on behalf of any user. There are permissions available that allow admins to enter time on behalf of the user, as well as being able to approve/reject submitted entries.

These permissions are explained in this KB article: https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/KB/ArticleDet?ID=2057

I hope this has fully answered your question. If we can be of further assistance, or if you have more questions on this topic, please let us know.

Sincerely,
