Issue Categories - is it possible to limit who can add new categories?

Issue Categories - is it possible to limit who can add new categories?  It appears that anyone with the ability to add and issue can also add a new category.  It would be nice to be able to limit this especially for reporting purposes.

Hi Nancy,

Currently, anyone who is added as a resource on the project can add issue categories for that project. I will add an enhancement request to put this behind a permission so managers can control that ability.

Hi Diana,

We have not added this request as of the most recent version of the software. I have added you as an additional requestor of this feature though so you can be provided with updates on this should it be implemented.

To the best of knowledge issue categories can still be entered by anyone on the project. I'm hoping it will be an enhancement in a future release.

Have there been any updates to this request? It would be nice to have admin created issue categories.
