This article is written for individuals who will be reporting on time and expenses within the TeamDynamix system. They will need to have access to TDNext, as well as access to the Finance application.
Overview
This article is written to introduce you to the Time and Expense Report, as well as using its basic features.
Where to Find This
The T&E Report is located within TDNext, in the Finance application, under the Standard Reports section.
Using the T&E (Time And Expense) Report
This report displays all the time and expense entries for a specified date range. The start date will be 12:00 AM of the date you enter in the "Start Date" field. The end date will be 11:59 PM of the date you enter in the "End Date" field. The report is driven by any time and expenses reported for the date range specified in the report criteria. Time and expenses do not need to be approved or submitted to be included in this report, only entered.
Two tables will be displayed for this report. The first table will be data for time entries. The second table will be data for expense entries. Person name links will be links to that person's user profile.
Time Entries
The time table will display the person, time type, account, project/workspace/task/issue/ticket name, the amount of hours, the billable amount, the non-billable amount, and the total bill amount for each time entry in the specified date range, broken down by time type.
Expense Entries
The expense table will display the person, expense type, account, project/workspace/ticket name, the expense quantity, the reimbursable amount, the billable amount, the non-billable amount, and the total bill amount for each expense reported in the specified date range, broken down by expense type.
Person names are links to that person's user profile. Account names are links to that account's detail page.
Calculations
- Bill Amount = (Billable Hours) x (Person's Bill Rate -> as specified in the person's user profile or by the project)
- Total Amount = (Billable Amount) + (Non-Billable Amount)
