Client Portal Profile Field Visibility

  • Authenticated users can log into the Client Portal and edit their Person profile information
  • Client Portal users see basic Person information for users associated with projects, tickets, and questions

Person records within TeamDynamix represent individuals who play a role on a project, incident, task, issue, etc. A Person record might be a Client Portal user, a technician assigned to a ticket, or a stakeholder on a project.

Person profiles store contact information, organizational details, and system preferences for everyone in your organization - from end users who submit requests to technicians who resolve them.

Different users need different levels of access to personal information. The visibility and editability of profile information are based on each user's role and access level. For instance, a basic user submitting a help desk ticket should only see essential contact details, while IT administrators need full access to manage organizational relationships and system settings.

The system also includes privacy protections. Users designated as confidential will not appear in general searches and are accessible only by technicians and administrators.

Confidentiality Setting

If the confidentiality setting has been enabled for a user, their profile details will not be visible, nor will they appear in Person lookup fields, such as the Requester field in the Client Portal.

The Confidentiality setting can only be modified by Global Administrators in TDAdmin under Users & Roles > Users.

Who Can View or Edit Profile Fields

Authenticated users will be able to access certain Person details for users within their organization. These pages will display varying degrees of information depending on the application and permissions of the reader. Unauthenticated users cannot view Person details.

Users who are not logged in, meaning the general public, cannot view any Person details.
