Who can use this feature?
To enable signature self-management or to edit user signatures in TDAdmin:
- Available in TDAdmin
- License Requirement: Enterprise
- Administrative Access: User must be a Global Administrator
To modify their own signature:
- Available in Work Management (TDNext)
- License Requirement: Technician or higher
- Application Access: User must have access to Work Management
- Global Security Role: Must include the Allow User to Edit Their Profile permission
Technician signatures can be automatically added to email notifications sent when tickets are updated or commented on. When enabled, these signatures can be self-managed by users in Work Management or set by global administrators. Signatures can be configured for inclusion on ticket updates, new comments, and all replies.

Global administrators can configure global security roles to allow users to update their own signature and other profile details in Work Management. Note that signatures cannot be edited in the Client Portal.
To enable profile editing:
- Go to TDAdmin > Users & Roles > Security Roles
- Click the security role
- Under All, check the Allow User to Edit Their Profile option
- Click Save
Repeat this for other security roles as needed.
To manage your own signature in Work Management:
- Log in and go to Work Management
- In the upper right-hand corner, click on your initials
- Select My Profile
- Select the Settings tab in the profile window
- Click Edit
- Update the Technician Signature in the text box as needed
- Enable options for when the signature should be applied:
- Apply to all updates and new comments for Tickets and Ticket Tasks
- Apply to all replies for Tickets and Ticket Tasks
- Click Save
To edit a user's signature in TDAdmin:
- Go to TDAdmin > Users & Roles > Users
- Locate the user you wish to edit and open their user record
- In the General section of the record, scroll to the bottom of the page
- Update the signature in the text block as needed
- Enable the options for when the signature should be applied:
- Apply to all updates and new comments for Tickets and Ticket Tasks
- Apply to all replies for Tickets and Ticket Tasks
- Click Save

Note that this column takes plain text and converts it into HTML. Therefore, styling the signature will require wrapping text in HTML tags. For example, to add new lines to the technician signature, you must use HTML line breaks, or any equivalent HTML formatting (ex. Sincerely, <br /> John Smith).
