This article will help administrators use the Email Images filtering too. The user must have full TDAdmin access to manage email image filters  

Overview

The Email Images filtering tool allows Administrators to identify and filter out frequently seen images that do not provide value to technician users. 

How it Works

When the email monitors and reply monitors process an email that includes inline or attached images, the system records how many times it has seen an identical image file. This information is presented in the Email Images page in TDAdmin. Administrators may choose to block specific images, which will be automatically removed from any further tickets or feed entries created by the email service. 

To use the Email Images page, follow these steps: 

  1. Navigate to the Email Images page (TDAdmin > Email > Email Images). 
  2.  Set the filters to determine which records are displayed. 
    1. It is recommended that you identify a threshold at which point you do not care about less commonly seen images. For example, if your email monitors have seen an image only a few times, it is not worth the time to search for, consider, and then block or ignore that image. 
  3. Click on the image thumbnail to see the full image., 
  4. Click on the Yes/No toggle in the Blocked column to determine whether the image should be blocked. 

While an image is marked as blocked, new emails that include the same image will be treated as if the image was not included. Unblocking the image in TDAdmin will not add the image back to the items where it had been blocked.
