Accessing a Project Plan as a Resource

This article discusses how resources who are not Project Mangers can access project plans and update tasks in TDNext or TDClient.

Overview

This article discusses how to access project plans and update tasks when you are a project resource but not a manager. Projects may not be visible to all users. The article notes what permissions are required. Please keep in mind that these are configured by an administrator.

Accessing the Project Plan

Accessing the Project Plan in Work Management

You will need access to the specific Project application and be added as a resource on a project to view their plans in Work Management.

1. In Work Management, navigate to View Applications, and select the appropriate Project application.
2. Your list of projects will appear in the left navigation. Select the project for which you'd like to view the plan.
3. On the project page, select Plans in the left navigation.
4. On the Plans page, select the project plan you would like to open.

Accessing the Project Plan in the Client Portal

You will need the View Projects permission on your Client Portal Security Role.

1. Navigate to your Client Portal.
2. In the top navigation, select Projects.
3. Select the project for which you'd like to view the plan.
4. At the top of the project details summary, you will see a sub navigation bar (including Details, Feed, etc.). Select Plans.
5. On the Plans page, select the project plan you would like to open.
