Adding Work Hours And Viewing Actual Hours For A Task

In order to add actual hours worked on a task, the user must:

  1. Go to the task list for the appropriate waterfall plan.
  2. Right click on the task you wish to update and select "Update."
  3. Enter the hours in the Update Task dialog window. Select a time type and date. You may also update the percent complete, notify anyone on the team and leave a comment.

To view actual hours worked on a task (and add additional hours)

  1. Go to the task list for the appropriate waterfall plan.
  2. Double-click on a task row to open the Task Details window
  3. Click on the Work tab in the task detail dialog window - actual hours entered against this task will display at the bottom of the window.
  4. To add additional time, select the appropriate week and day from the corresponding tabs
  5. Enter a time type from the "Time Type" dropdown list.
  6. If you want to add additional actual hours, you can enter them in the Hours textbox, and enter a description of the work performed in the Description textbox.
  7. Click the "Save" button.

Note that tasks will auto populate your timecard for those users using the Time and Expense application based upon task dates and timesheet date.
