Creating a Project Plan

To create a project plan, the user must:

  • Navigate to Applications > Projects / Workspaces.
  • Click on the appropriate project name link in the left navigation bar.
  • Click the Plans folder link.
  • Click the New button in the ribbon bar in the Plans tab.
  • Enter a name for the new iteration/plan.
  • Enter a description for the new iteration/plan if desired.
  • Select whether to use a Card Wall or Waterfall plan.
  • If using a Card Wall, select whether to import an existing Project Template application plan or Create an empty plan
  • If using a Waterfall, select whether to import a Microsoft Project XML, import a TeamDynamix .tdplan file, use an existing Project Template application plan, or Create an empty plan
  • Microsoft Project file: The user will need to select a Microsoft Project XML file to import from their computer.
  • TeamDynamix .tdplan file: The user will need to select a TeamDynamix .tdplan file to import from their computer.​​​​​​​
  • Project Template application plan: Select the desired Project Template record and click the Create button next to the desired plan record.
  • ​​​​​​​Select whether or not to check out the iteration/plan.
  • Click Save.
