How do I add time and time off? Where do I go to do this?

Requirements to Add Time

The user must have the TDNext and Time & Expense applications. Furthermore, they must be on projects/workspaces and/or have work items like tasks/tickets/issues assigned to them to add time.

Where do I go to add time?

Time can be added through a number of places. A non-inclusive list includes:

  • The Time & Expense application in TDNext.
  • The My Timecard section of the My Work application in TDNext. This spot requires the user to also have the My Work application.
  • Many items, like tickets, tasks and issues have Work or Actual Hours pages reachable through their detail pages. Time can be added through here.
  • Many items, like ticket, tasks and issues have Update pages where time can be entered through.

To add time to an item, the project (or project that the item belongs to) must have at least one active time type assigned to it. The same goes for ticket or ticket items. The ticket (or ticket that the item belongs to) must have at least one active time type assigned to it.

Where do I go to add time off?

Time off can be added through two places:

  • The Time & Expense application in TDNext
  • The My Timecard section of the My Work application in TDNext. This spot requires the user to also have the My Work application.

Click the Add Time button then choose the Time Off link.

To add time off, the project must have at least one active time type on it which is marked as a Time Off type.

Note that time off can only be added from a project or workspace. Time off cannot be added to tickets and thus time off time types are not available for ticket types or individual tickets.
