Create a Conversational AI Service Account

This how-to article will help CAI administrators to create a service account for use with the TeamDynamix work management integration. Service accounts may also be used for scenarios where an external resource will be calling a TDBot Application. The user must have the following roles in CAI: Service Accounts (Configuration/Security)

Overview

In CAI, a service account is a special type of account that generates an Account ID and Primary Secret. These are used to integrate CAI with external systems, like TeamDynamix. A CAI service account is required to link your TeamDynamix environment with CAI for use with TeamDynamix integration into the client portal.

Creating a Conversational AI Service Account

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Administration > Security > Service Accounts
  2. At the top of the page, click Add
  3. Set the Name to TeamDynamix CAI Integration
  4. Set the Verify Timestamp switch to No
  5. Click the Roles tab
  6. Adding Roles:
    1. At a minimum, users will need roles 'TDX Enterprise Integration' with view & edit rights and 'Bot Listing - All' with view & edit rights to integrate with TDX Work Management. Additional role definitions may be beneficial if other systems will interact with this service account.
    2. To add roles click Add Role. From the list of roles, select the roles desired for this service account ensuring the appropriate Rights have been set via the drop down. Finally, click Add Role to add the role to the service account.
  7. At the bottom of the page, click Add New

Copy down the Account ID and Primary Secret to use in the external application you are intergrating with. These are also the values you will need to enter into TDAdmin when you enable the CAI integration in TeamDynamix.
